"Broken branches may create hazards," EC said, as they warned drivers to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions as well.

Saturday marked the 10th September day with snowfall recorded at Edmonton's airport with over 15 cm reported between Saturday and Sunday alone. So far this month, close to 50 cm of snow has fallen in Alberta's capital region.
Another blast of Arctic air will follow a potent Alberta clipper this week, delivering the coldest conditions of the season for many places. Another round of snow is also expected for parts of the Rockies and Foothills by Thursday, with the active pattern continuing into next week as well.
