The first cargo sleepers are expected to roll out in 2020 on Airbus A330s.
Airbus says the modules can be swapped out with cargo containers.
Only limited information has been released about the design of the sleep pods, but the company says it has received "positive feedback" from several airlines regarding their mock-ups.
