Being the middle sibling of these lows, this Colorado low will bring more moisture with it as well for precipitation totals will be a bit beefier. We’re looking at areas just north of the low’s track to receive 10-15 centimetres.

Areas along the track will see a 5-10 cm scenario with some mixing involved. Areas south of the track will receive about 5 cm followed up by some rain.

As mentioned already, there is still a level of uncertainty with this Colorado low and the exact track it will take. Keep checking back for updates as we near the start of the second system.

And now, on to the third system …

TEXAS LOW

The big brother: Texas lows are notorious for carrying a lot of moisture up from the Gulf. Depending on its track, Texas lows can bring heavy rain or heavy snow. Chief meteorologist Chris Scott takes an in depth look at the third system, the Texas low, in his latest article.
