Tuesday, May 26, 2015, 3:27 PM - At least eight people are dead after powerful storms tore through Texas, causing widespread damage and prompting evacuations.
On Tuesday, authorities spent the morning helping residents evacuate in a city near Austin, Texas, after a creek broke its banks, causing the area to flood.
A series of powerful storms hit the region over the weekend followed by as much as 280 mm of additional precipitation in some communities Monday night into Tuesday.
