M6.0 earthquake strikes southeast of mainland Japan

Tuesday, September 20, 2016, 1:40 PM - A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck early Wednesday morning southeast of Japan's mainland, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit about 400 km from the Izu Islands, southeast of Honshu around 1:20 a.m. local time with a depth of 10 km.
There are no immediate reports of a tsunami or any damage.
