Tuesday, October 28, 2014, 6:44 PM - When we say wild hogs, we don't mean motorcycles.
Hundreds of thousands of wild hogs are running loose in parts of the U.S. causing up to $1.5 billion in damage annually, according to the BBC.
They can weigh up to 400 pounds each, and reproduce quickly.
They're also highly adaptable and have no natural predators, which has enabled them to thrive.

There are thought to be more than 500,000 wild hogs running loose in Louisiana alone.
Officials aren't just worried about the damage the animals can inflict upon agricultural land. The hogs also pose a public health risk, because they're known to carry diseases.
