Friday, November 14, 2014, 5:33 PM - More than 400 people gathered at Australia's Bondi Beach Thursday to stick their heads in the sand for climate change.
The gathering was an effort to mock the government's reluctance to discuss climate change at this weekend's G20 summit, Reuters reports.
People of all ages -- including some children -- dug holes in the sand to stick their heads in.
The event was publicized by 350.org, a group that's aiming to start a "global climate movement".

"We believe that a global grassroots movement can hold our leaders accountable to the realities of science and the principles of justice," the organization says.
"That movement is rising from the bottom up all over the world, and is uniting to create the solutions that will ensure a better future for all."
The campaign appears to have been a success. Photos from the event have gone viral online, receiving coverage from multiple news agencies.
