Tropical Storm Jerry formed Monday morning, becoming the tenth tropical storm of the Atlantic season.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in place and Jerry poses no immediate threat to land.

Jerry is forecast to move east and a slow erratic motion is expected over the next couple of days, the U.S. National Hurricane Center says.

The centre adds that maximum sustained winds have reached 65 km/h with some additional strengthening forecast during the next day or so.
