Tropical Storm Fernand moves toward Mexico

Tropical Storm Fernand has formed off Mexico's Gulf coast and is expected to make landfall Monday.
The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Sunday the storm had winds of at least 72 km/h. Fernand is about 40 kilometres) east of the Mexican state of Veracruz.
The storm is expected to produce 100 to 200 mm of rain over parts of several states.
A tropical storm warning was in effect on Mexico's Gulf coast from Veracruz to Tampico.
In the eastern Pacific, former Tropical Storm Ivo weakened further from a tropical depression into a remnant low.
