Saturday, June 27, 2015, 6:07 PM - Environment Canada issued tornado warnings following severe thunderstorms in southern Manitoba. The tornado warnings were dropped just after 3:30 p.m. CDT.

It's been quite the active week in the province. Two tornadoes were confirmed to have touched down in southern Manitoba Wednesday afternoon, after severe storms prompted several tornado watches and warnings.

A large supercell developed just after 2 p.m. local time Saturday west of Carman, Manitoba. The storms tracked southeast. The radar indicated general rotation with the possibility for a tornado on the ground, The Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton said. Tornado warnings and watches were issued stateside as a result.

Storms are expected to continue through Saturday afternoon before easing into the evening hours.
