Thunderstorm threat looms in southern Ontario Tuesday, temperatures to return to more seasonal values

Tuesday, May 27, 2014, 7:04 AM - Like all good things, this stretch of dry, hot and humid weather will come to an end in southern Ontario Tuesday.
A widespread thunderstorm threat covers the province with isolated severe storms expected across southern and southwestern Ontario Tuesday afternoon as a cold front slides through.

The greatest threat with these storms will be hail, strong winds and heavy downpours.
Up to 30 mm of rain is forecast through Wednesday morning with locally higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
In addition to the scattered thunderstorms, a return to more seasonal temperatures are expected for the remainder of the week.
On Monday, the city of Toronto hit 30.1°C, the first 30°C felt so far this year.
Several other communities also managed to climb into the mid to high 20s, feeling even warmer with the humidex.
