Saturday, November 1, 2014, 4:54 PM - It's November 1st and Mother Nature has flipped on the cold switch.

A slow-moving low pressure system is expected to bring up to 30 cm of snow to parts of southern Alberta

Snowfall warnings cover much of the southern region. Areas under warning include Lethbridge, Kananaskis, Okotoks and Pincher Creek.

In the warning, Environment Canada says the heaviest snow is expected over higher elevations in western regions.

Conditions will gradually improve from the west on Sunday as the low moves east. 

Motorists are urged to use extra caution on the roads as conditions begin to deteriorate.
