Friday, June 9, 2017, 6:03 PM - It doesn't get much more Canadian than this.
Newly married Saskatchewan couple Kim and Calum Martin were about to get their dance on at The Resort at Cypress Hills on May 27 when a beaver rudely interrupted the reception.
The iconic Canadian animal had chewed through a nearby power pole, knocking the power out to much of the Cypress Hills and Maple Creek area.

"It really took a while to believe that it was a beaver because that just seems like a really ridiculous thing to have happen," Kim Martin told CBC.
Photos of the downed pole was shared by SaskPower on Facebook (see below).

"Once we realized that was a true story -- that it was a beaver -- it was just funny," Martin told the news agency.
Thanks to a backup generator, staff at the venue were able to keep the lights and tunes going.
"We were definitely worried but once they assured us that there would be food and music... we didn't really have time to worry," Martin told CBC. "It was such of a blur of a day that we just kept on going. It was more of an adventure that way, with no power."
