Record warmth, double rainbow after B.C. deluge. See photos

Wednesday, November 9, 2016, 3:12 PM - After days of heavy rain and flooding in parts of B.C., skies took a colourful turn earlier this week.
Residents across the Lower Mainland woke up to record breaking temperatures and a stunning double rainbow Tuesday.

By 6 a.m. local time Vancouver hit 15.1oC, which broke the previous record of 14.8oC set on Nov. 8, 1991. The mercury continued to soar through the day, capping off with a balmy 19.4oC. Meanwhile, Abbotsford hit an astonishing 22.4oC.
While the warmth continues Wednesday, temperatures will cool back to seasonal by the weekend. The South Coast will see a brief break from the rain, until Thursday night when more showers are set to arrive. A widespread 20-30 mm is expected across the Lower Mainland, with less than 15 mm for Vancouver Island.
