Sunday, September 23, 2018, 12:11 PM - Clean-up efforts are underway after two powerful tornadoes ripped through the Ottawa region Friday, upending trees, destroying power lines and sending six people to the hospital.
Hundreds of people are displaced in Gatineau, Quebec with multiple homes destroyed.
On Friday evening, 600 people were in need of shelter.

Power lines are destroyed in some areas, and as of Sunday morning, some 70,000 customers remained without power. Officials say the damage is severe and it could be several days before all systems are fully functioning.
