Ontario's extreme cold in nine photos
Digital Reporter
Monday, February 16, 2015, 12:57 PM - Ontario's coldest temperatures of the season descended just in time for the Family Day long weekend.
And they have indeed been the coldest. Even before you factor in the wind chill factor, southern Ontario communities were looking at record low temperatures reaching down to the -30oC mark.
Taking the wind chill into account, both Sunday and Monday boasted wind chill potential making it feel like -40 and colder, prompting extreme cold warnings for all of the south. At least one person died in Toronto after being found unresponsive outside Sunday morning.
Although cold this intense can be dangerous, it can also make for some beautiful photography.
Here are nine amazing shots sent in by our viewers that perfectly illustrate just how freezing it's been.
