Monday, September 5, 2016, 6:06 PM - Hermine has dominated weather headlines since making landfall in Florida Friday as a Category 1 hurricane.

Though it weakened as it passed through Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas before exiting out to sea and being downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, the storm still packs a punch as it tracks northward parallel to the Eastern Seaboard.

  • At least two people have been killed in Florida and North Carolina.
  • As of Monday evening, Hermine is a post-tropical cyclone, and the NHC says it may strengthen to near-hurricane status through Monday night before weakening Tuesday. No landfall expected
  • The storm boasts maximum sustained winds of 110 km/h, moving west-northwest at 11 km/h
  • Tropical storm warnings are much reduced Monday, still in effect only for Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Long Island
