Sunday, June 26, 2016, 6:39 PM - Parts of the eastern Prairies saw significant rainfall on Saturday, after strong storms brought flooding deluges to Manitoba on Friday night.

Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton says that on Sunday, the best conditions for thunderstorms are likely to be further to the west.

Though most storms that do spark are expected to be non-severe, some isolated storms could approach or exceed severe levels.

"Downpours and hail will be the greatest threats," Hamilton says.

Afternoon thunderstorm risk is likely to recur over the next few days, Hamilton says, as heat builds again into Tuesday and Wednesday.
