Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 2:11 PM - The RCMP are citing poor road conditions as well as speed and the potential of following too close as factors in an early morning bus crash Wednesday that injured 15 high school students.

The crash happened around 7:50 a.m. CT on Highway 21, located approximately 10 kilometres south of Kerrobert, SK. Police indicate the buses were travelling together en route to Table Mountain ski facility when a merging truck forced the front bus to brake, resulting in the second bus to slam into the back.

The highway was temporarily closed, but has since re-opened.

Students aboard the bus were between 13 and 14 years old. The injured passengers were taken to hospital to get treatment for minor injuries.

Paramedics and fire officials from Kindersley, Kerrobert, Rosetown and Macklin arrived at the scene to treat patients.
