Body of missing Canadian hiker found on Mount Washington

Sunday, May 29, 2016, 3:42 PM - The body of a Quebec hiker was been found off the Tuckerman Ravine trail on Mount Washington Saturday.
François Carrier, 47-year-old of Drummondville, was reported missing on May 12 when he did not return home from a hiking trip.
The Pinkham Notch area was combed by searchers for five days. A dog team and helicopters were used, however, there were no signs of Carrier's location.

About 25 members from several search and rescue teams helped move Carrier's body down the mountain from an altitude of about 5,300 feet.
The cause of death is still unknown. An autopsy is being performed in Concord, New Hampshire.
