Woman survives six days hanging on tree after car crash

Thursday, November 1, 2018, 3:49 PM - A 53-year old woman has been rescued, six days after a crash that left her car hanging from a tree.
The Arizona woman's car went off the road on October 12, smashing through a fence and falling 15 metres before landing in a tree. She told officials she remained there, suspended, for several days.

She then climbed out and headed to nearby railroad tracks, but didn't make it far due to her injuries.
A rancher working in the area spotted her and alerted authorities.

A rescue team traced her tracks and found her dehydrated and with serious injuries lying next to the Hassayampa river.
She was airlifted to a nearby hospital and has since been released.
It's not clear what caused the crash or what type of injuries the unnamed woman sustained.
