Climate in Lyon

Lyon’s climate is temperate, and can have unpredictable day-to-day weather. Generally though, summers are very warm to hot, and winters are cold.

Air temperatures peak in July and August between a range of 15°C to 27°C, and fall between 0°C to 8°C during December and January.

Precipitation is regular throughout the year, but tends to peak in both spring and autumn. The rainiest months of the year are May and October, with both seeing upwards of 100mm. The driest months are during the winter where February and March typically see less than 50mm.
