Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

Description

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Southwestern Mohave County in northwestern Arizona San Bernardino County in southern California Until 430 PM PDT /430 PM MST/. At 347 PM PDT /347 PM MST/, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 6 miles west of Laughlin to 6 miles west of Highway 95 And I-40, or along a line from 6 miles west of Laughlin to 20 miles southwest of Laughlin, moving east at 15 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Bullhead City, Needles, Highway 95 And I-40, Mojave Ranch Estates, Mohave Valley, Mesquite Creek, Arizona Village and Willow Valley.

Recommended Action

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds.
