Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Northwestern Santa Clara County in northern California Until 845 PM PST.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 644 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include San Jose, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Cupertino, Campbell, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Rancho Rinconada Cdp, Monte Sereno, Rancho Rinconada and Loyola. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
