Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Northwestern Campbell County in north central South Dakota Northeastern Corson County in north central South Dakota
When: Until 330 PM CDT /230 PM MDT/.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 934 AM CDT /834 AM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Pollock, Kenel and Mahto. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
