Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: A portion of south central Arizona, including all of Maricopa County, Northern and Western Pinal County, and Southern Gila County.
When: Until 11 PM MST this evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, normally dry washes, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - The combination of abundant moisture and a weather system moving into the region will support rounds of showers and thunderstorms today through this evening. Moderate to heavy rainfall with rainfall rates in excess of 1-2 inches per hour is expected with most storms. Some areas will see training of storms leading to high rainfall accumulations. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
