Beach Conditions

Herald Park Beach is located near the community of Sunnybrae in Herald Provincial Park. Created in 1975 this park has been a popular campground as well as a day-use area for the community. This park used to be a part of a farm owned by Dr. Dundas & Edith Herald and their children from 1905. The beach itself is has more gravel than sand with picnic tables and lots of trees in the vicinity. This Park boasts two fantastic trails one to Margaret Falls and one to Upper Canyon. Herald Provincial Park is also surrounded by picturesque mountains. There is also a special area set aside for pets to the east of the boat launch but back country area are not suitable for dogs due to wildlife issues.
