I’ve seen the photos and watched the videos but it is not comparable to seeing this phenomenon in person. You are standing there looking up at the sky and it is daylight. Sunlight on your face and suddenly the landscape darkens like nightfall. You’ve seen the sun and moon a thousand times but not like this. You can hear the oohs and awes and know why. I did have to take a drive southward to see the totality and it was well worth it.
