
Whirlwind stirs up dust and debris at Colorado high school

A storm was moving through the area at time.
A storm that hit parts of Colorado Wednesday brought a dust vortex to a high school campus, according to local reports and video.
The whirlwind was described as a “gustnado”, a form of whirling dust cloud formed at the “leading edge of a thunderstorm”.

Sam Pisciotta, an instructor and tennis coach at Pueblo West High School, captured the scene on video and uploaded it to Facebook.
“I was looking out trying to decide if I should cancel girls tennis practice. Saw it passing in front of the baseball field,” Pisciotta wrote on Facebook.
“I cancelled practice. Haha.”
Rain and strong winds were reported in the area at the time the video was taken.
