Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Pike River near Amberg affecting Marinette County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring. This approaches the flood of record.
Where: Pike River near Amberg.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 6.5 feet, Flooding affects are mainly confined to areas west of Amberg along Highway V. Water covers an adjacent park near the the Highway V bridge. A foot bridge near the bridge may be under several feet of water.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 7.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM CDT Monday was 7.2 feet. - ForecastNo forecast is available for this location. - Flood stage is 6.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Description

Areas of localized dense fog with visibilities as low as one half to one quarter mile at times this morning along the bay and lakeshore areas. Motorists should stay alert for localized areas of reduced visibility this morning. If driving, allow yourself extra time to reach your destination and use low beam headlights.
