The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Moore County in central North Carolina Montgomery County in central North Carolina Southern Randolph County in central North Carolina Until 630 PM EDT. At 546 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Seagrove, or 9 miles north of Troy, and is nearly stationary.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Troy, North Carolina Zoo, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Seagrove, Mount Gilead, Robbins, Star, Candor, and Eldorado. This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 41 and 70.
