Description

A brief period of freezing rain will be possible this afternoon as rain moves into the northern Finger Lakes region. Road temperatures in many areas are well below freezing. Watch out for patchy icy roads this afternoon if traveling. Temperatures will rapidly climb above freezing limiting the threat for icy roads by evening.

Description

What: West winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
Where: All of Central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.
When: From 1 PM Monday to 7 PM EST Tuesday.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Recommended Action

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
