Description
What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Where: Portions of east central, north central, and south central Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central Kentucky, Boyle, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison and Mercer. In north central Kentucky, Washington KY. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Lincoln, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell and Taylor. When: Until 11 PM EDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening. Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: A portion of south central Kentucky, including the following counties, Adair, Clinton, Cumberland and Russell.
When: Until 700 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
Additional Details: - At 552 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Columbia, Albany, Jamestown, Burkesville, Leslie, Russell Springs, Cundiff, Bryan, Crocus and Inroad. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
