Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in Indiana Wabash River at Lafayette.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Indiana Illinoi
S: Wabash River at Covington, Montezuma, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River in western Indiana this week. As of late Thursday evening the crest was between Hutsonville and Riverton. Flooding is expected to end at Lafayette and Covington by late Friday afternoon. Flooding downstream is currently predicted to end by Monday, but rainfall starting Sunday night could bring additional rises to area rivers next week.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Lafayette.
When: Until late tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 11.0 feet, Nuisance flooding of a couple of low agricultural fields begins in far western part of Tippecanoe County.
Additional Details: - At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 11.4 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday was 12.9 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 11.4 feet just after midnight tonight.
