Description
Warning of potential coastal flooding issued jointly by Fisheries and Oceans Canada (Science) and the Meteorological Service of Canada - Quebec Region. Higher than normal water levels are expected near the coast on Friday morning. A large low pressure system from Ontario will cause moderate winds over the regions below. The combination of these winds and the current period of high tidal ranges could produce minor overwash along the coast in and around the following locales on the dates and at the times specified (local time). Quebec City: 2024-06-07, from 06:15 AM to 09:15 AM. ### Flooding is possible along the coastline. These warnings are issued when water levels pose a flooding threat to coastal areas. Rain at times heavy is expected Friday and overnight Friday night.

Close to 50 millimetres of rain is expected into Saturday. Additionally, amounts could exceed 50 millimetres in some thunderstorms within a few hours, especially over higher elevations.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
