What: Temperatures will rapidly drop by up to 12 degrees Celsius in 3 hours. When: This afternoon to early Tuesday morning Additional information: Puddles, wet snow and any additional precipitation will freeze when temperatures fall. ### Roads and walkways may quickly become icy and slippery. Flash freeze warnings are issued when temperatures are expected to rapidly drop below zero, causing water from rain or melted snow to quickly freeze on streets and sidewalks. Description

A major winter storm is expected.

What:
Total accumulations of 20 to 40 centimetres of snow over a 24-hour period.
Strong winds reaching between 60 and 70 kilometres per hour.
Blowing snow conditions resulting in greatly reduced visibilities.

When: Wednesday to Thursday

Where: Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Charlevoix, Montmagny, the North Shore, the Lower St. Lawrence and the Gaspé Peninsula.

Additional information:
Travel will be difficult in snow and blowing snow. There will likely be transportation delays and cancellations. Road closures are possible.

Consider delaying or cancelling any non-essential travel.
