Description

What: Debris and ash flows, rock slides, and minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible, especially near burn scars.
Where: Portions of North Central and Northeast Washington, including the following counties, in North Central Washington, Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan. In Northeast Washington, Ferry.
When: From late tonight through Sunday evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in debris and ash flows over burn scars in steep terrain. Rock slides will be possible. Minor flooding in urban areas where there is poor drainage. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
Additional Details: - A slow moving storm system will bring persistent bands of rain through Central Washington. Rain intensities will vary from light to moderate. Rainfall amounts will range between 0.50 and 1.50 inches with locally around 2.00 inches in southern Chelan County. - This includes but is not limited to the following burn scars: Modrite, Kaiser Canyon, Sinlahekin, Chelan Falls, Little Giant, Sisi, and Pioneer. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
