Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Western and south central New Mexico, including Farmington, Shiprock, Aztec, Bloomfield, Gallup, Zuni Pueblo, Grants, Quemado, Pietown, Magdalena, Datil, and Glenwood.
When: Until 6 AM MDT Thursday.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - Deep monsoon moisture will continue to produce numerous showers and thunderstorms. Stronger storms will be capable of producing heavy rain at rates of one to two inches per hour. Some locations will receive multiple rounds of storms. Recent wildfire burn scars, urban areas, locations with complex terrain, and areas where the ground is already saturated from recent heavy rain will be favored for rapid runoff and flash flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flash Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
