Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
Where: Eastern Macon County in north central Missouri Northern Randolph County in north central Missouri
When: Until 400 AM CDT Thursday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
Additional Details: - At 355 PM CDT, transportation department officials indicate closed roads due to high water. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, additional moderate to heavy rainfall is likely through tonight. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Macon, Bevier, Atlanta, Cairo, Jacksonville and Excello. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
