High Fire Danger Saturday Afternoon .Combination of near critical afternoon humidity coupled with breezy conditions will result in high fire danger Saturday afternoon. The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
Affected Area: Fire weather zones 016, 017, 018, 020, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025, 026, 027, 028, 029, 030, 031, 032, 033, 034, 035, 036, 041, 042, and 099.
Wind: West winds 10 to 15 mph. Wind gusts 20 to 25 mph, occasionally up to 30 mph.
Humidity: Relative humidity as low as 20 to 30 percent.
Highest Threat: Northeast lower Michigan just away from the Lake Huron coast.
Impacts: Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
