Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Northwestern Shawnee County in east central Kansa
S: Wabaunsee County in east central Kansa
S: Southeastern Pottawatomie County in northeastern Kansa
S:
When: Until midnight CDT tonight.
Impacts: Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Additional Details: - At 954 PM CDT, emergency management reported slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall across the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wamego, Rossville, Alma, St. Marys, Silver Lake, Maple Hill, Alta Vista, McFarland, Paxico, Belvue, Emmett, Willard, Keene and Volland.

Recommended Action

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
