What: Flooding caused by prior excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: East Central Kanawha County in central West Virginia West Central Clay County in north central West Virginia
When: Until 800 AM EDT.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Some roads remain closed due to flooding.
Additional Details: - At 446 AM EDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain had fell across the warned area on Saturday, ranging anywhere from 2 to 6 inches. Lingering high water is expected across portions of the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Clay, Glen and Procious. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
