Description

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Brown County in northeastern Wisconsin Northeastern Outagamie County in northeastern Wisconsin Until noon CDT. At 1129 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles north of Kaukauna, or 13 miles northeast of Appleton, moving southeast at 40 mph.
Hazard: Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Chicago Corners, Oneida, Hobart, De Pere, Wrightstown, Little Rapids, Greenleaf, Morrison, Lark and Wayside.

Recommended Action

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing dangerous hail and damaging winds.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 519 IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN WISCONSIN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL WISCONSIN CALUMET MANITOWOC IN NORTHEAST WISCONSIN BROWN DOOR KEWAUNEE OUTAGAMIE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ALASKA, APPLETON, CLAY BANKS, DARBOY, DUNDAS, DUVALL, GREEN BAY, INSTITUTE, KEWAUNEE, MACKVILLE, MANITOWOC, NORMAN, NORTHERN LAKE WINNEBAGO, POINT BEACH STATE PARK, POTAWATOMI STATE PARK, RANKIN, RIO CREEK, ROSTOK, SHOTO, TWO RIVERS, AND VALMY.

At 1137 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Kaukauna, or 7 miles east of Appleton, moving southeast at 40 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR FREEDOM.
Hazard: Softball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact: People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. This severe thunderstorm will be near Kaukauna, Little Chute, Kimberly, Darboy and Appleton around 1140 AM CDT. Northern Lake Winnebago around 1145 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Combined Locks, Wrightstown, Dundas, Holland, Askeaton and Forest Junction.
