Description

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northeastern Berkshire County in western Massachusett
S: Southern Rensselaer County in east central New York Bennington County in southern Vermont Windham County in southern Vermont Until 330 PM EDT. At 251 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Manchester Center to near Bennington to Averill Park, moving east at 45 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts.

Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Pittsfield, Bennington, North Adams, Brattleboro, Bellows Falls, Arlington, Londonderry, Townshend, Manchester, Stratton, Adams, Williamstown, Shaftsbury, Pownal, Cheshire, Stephentown, Putney, Vernon, Grafton, and Berlin.

Recommended Action

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 PM EDT for western Massachusetts...east central New York...and southern Vermont.
