Recommended Action
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Northern Duval County in south central Texa
S: Northwestern Jim Wells County in south central Texa
S: Southwestern Live Oak County in south central Texa
S: Southern McMullen County in south central Texa
S:
When: Until 830 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 524 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include San Diego, Freer, Benavides, Seven Sisters, Rosita, Loma Alta, Rancho De La Parita, Clegg, San Jose and Palito Blanco. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
