Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Western Bee County in south central Texa
S: West Central Goliad County in south central Texa
S: Live Oak County in south central Texa

When: Until 815 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 508 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Beeville, George West, Three Rivers, Choke Canyon, Karon, Ray Point, Oakville, Mineral, Pawnee, River Creek Acres, Normanna, Tuleta, Pettus, Nell, Tulsita, Dinero, Simmons, Esseville and Whitsett. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Recommended Action

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
