The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for South Central Forest County in northwestern Pennsylvania Clarion County in west central Pennsylvania Jefferson PA County in west central Pennsylvania Until 800 PM EDT. At 705 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from near Brockway to 6 miles south of Knox, or along a line from 16 miles northeast of Brookville to 6 miles south of Knox, moving southeast at 25 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and small hail.

Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Clarion, Brookville, Knox, Reynoldsville, Brockway, Sykesville, Falls Creek, Strattanville, Summerville, Limestone, Shippenville, Corsica, Sigel, Fisher, Leeper, Fryburg, Worthville, Clear Creek State Park, Clarington and Knox-Dale.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds. Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant property damage.
