Description

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Flood Advisory for the following rivers in Oklahoma Canadian River near Calvin affecting Hughes County.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Canadian River near Calvin.
When: From this morning to just after midnight tonight.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Cropland
S: pasture
S: oilfield
S: and local roads may sustain shallow overflows. Upstream areas along the river in northern Pontotoc southern Seminole and west central Hughes counties are covered before the areas near Calvin. Downstream areas in eastern Hughes County are affected hours later.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 17.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - ForecastThe Canadian River is expected to rise to a crest of 18.0 feet this afternoon. - Action stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood stage is 20.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
