Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected along Irondequoit Creek.
Where: A portion of Monroe County along Irondequoit Creek near Rochester, including Ellison Park.
When: Until 400 PM EDT Sunday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Additional Details: - At 351 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated rapid rises in stage height due to heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area, especially within Ellison Park. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Rochester, Irondequoit, East Rochester, Brighton and Penfield. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
