Flood Warning
What: Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: East Central Monroe County in western New York
When: Until 945 PM EDT Thursday.
Impacts: Flooding of Irondequoit Creek and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. This will include Ellison Park, with water levels possibly effecting Blossom Road.
Additional Details: - At 946 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is expected on Irondequoit Creek in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Irondequoit, East Rochester, Fairport, Brighton and Penfield. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
