Description

At 540 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of Watrous, or 13 miles east of Las Vegas. The storm was stationary.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 55 mph and penny size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include Mainly rural areas of North Central San Miguel County. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 356 and 361. State Road 104 between Mile Markers 7 and 19.

Recommended Action

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
